Each spring, the WCC collaborates with art and science teachers in the Wells-Ogunquit Consolidated School District to host a conservation-themed poster contest for students in Grades 1 through 12. The resulting artwork is recognized during an awards night in May.
A chosen theme encourages students to closely observe an aspect of the natural beauty of our town. This year’s theme is “Birds of Wells,” and some past themes have included: “Farming, Fishing, and Foraging: Locally Sourced Food in Wells” and “Rivers and Streams of Wells.”
